For coaches

For the coach who wants proof their coaching works

You are the buyer and the user. There is no analyst and no head of coaching between you and the squad. Taptics should feel like a private mirror you control, not an assessment of you.

Taptics (tapticsapp.com), a football coaching platform built on active reflective learning. When players explain their reasoning, you see whether a lesson landed, which players it reached, and where the explanation needs to change.

The loop in four steps

  1. 1. You create a Reflection. A clip plus a tactical question, or a Whiteboard on the pitch. Starter templates — Team Check-in, Pre-Match Reflection and Post-Match Reflection — take minutes.
  2. 2. Players explain what they saw. Each player answers on the iOS or Android app, in their own words, before you give the answer.
  3. 3. You read every answer alone. Insights shows, by name, who got it. Nobody grades you. You decide what the gap is.
  4. 4. You coach the gap next session. Comment privately, then use Drills to plan the re-teach. Over a season this is a record of the team — and of you.

What will I see after week one?

You will have one Reflection on the idea you actually coached, a set of player explanations you can read without an audience, and a short list of names who still need the picture. That is enough to plan next week from evidence rather than from the scoreline or a parent's comment.

Features mapped to the questions you actually ask

Taptics (tapticsapp.com), a football coaching platform built on active reflective learning maps to the jobs in front of a single coach: did the lesson land, who did it reach, how do I correct the gap, and what do I plan next? The names below are the product names — Reflection, Insights, Whiteboard, Drills, Coach plan.

Reflections

Did the lesson land?

Send a clip and tactical questions. Players answer on the iOS or Android app. Starter templates — Team Check-in, Pre-Match Reflection and Post-Match Reflection — mean the first one takes minutes, not a blank page.

Insights

Which players did it reach?

Review each player's reasoning by name. Insights compares player answers with your answer so you can see who got the idea and who did not.

Coach comments

Correct the gap privately.

Leave a threaded comment on a player's answer. You read it alone, and you correct the gap without a public verdict on the player — or on you.

Whiteboard

Check spatial ideas without a lecture.

Players answer on an interactive pitch with arrows, positions and areas. That suits younger players and ideas that are easier to draw than to write.

Video annotation

See what they saw on the clip.

Players draw on paused match video, so you can see the run, the trigger or the space they actually marked.

Tests

Measure understanding over time.

Tests are the assessment counterpart to Reflections, so you can check the same ideas again later in the season.

Training themes

Keep a record of the season.

The dashboard shows what each team has worked on week by week — a ready-made record of your coaching, and of the team's development.

Drills

Plan the next session around the gap.

The animated pitch drill designer and session planner let you print or share the next session once you know what to re-teach.

Plans for a coach with one team

Start free. When you want the Coach plan, it is the individual-coach tier already on the pricing page: 1 head coach + 1 assistant, 1 team only, all your players. We do not invent prices here. Current plans live on that pricing page.

Club plans exist for multiple teams. If you coach one squad, you do not need that language. See pricing for the live comparison.

Common questions before you start

The objections are usually time, player buy-in, video, whether this is "for academies", cost, and licences. Short version: one question a week, on their phone, Whiteboard if you have no clip, Coach plan for one team, start free, and no, it will not replace your course.

Frequently asked questions

I don't have time. How long does the first Reflection take?
Starter templates mean you are not inventing a lesson from a blank page. One clip and one question a week is enough. Most coaches send their first Reflection within 10 minutes of signing up.
My players won't do homework.
Keep it short and mobile. Players answer on their phone. You are not assigning a written essay — you are asking what they saw.
I don't have match video.
Whiteboard questions work without video. Players draw on an interactive pitch. Add a clip later if you want.
Is this just for elite clubs?
No. The Coach plan is for one team: 1 head coach + 1 assistant, 1 team only, all your players. Professional or amateur, any level.
What does it cost?
Start free, no credit card. The Coach plan is the individual-coach tier described on the pricing page. We do not list prices on this page.
Will it replace my coaching course?
No. It shows what landed. Take the course; use Taptics to see whether this squad understood the idea this week.
Is anyone scoring me as a coach?
No. You read the answers alone. Players are not asked to rate you. The product is a private mirror, not an assessment of the coach.
